In many of the small towns in northern Michigan, there is quite often an unassuming little roadside bar that serves up a spectacular pizza ... and this is one of those spots! The Sand Lake Bar makes an excellent pizza with light tomato sauce and a thin crisp crust that is a perfect complement to the quality ingredients piled on top. Our server was pleasant and attentive and definitely made sure we weren't waiting around between beverages. This place has a homey feel where, dare I say it, "everyone knows your name" (or at least would gladly get to know you). Stop in for a pint, a pizza or something else on the daily special list.
The best pizza I have had in a long time and prices are reasonable. Employees are great and polite.
Their hamburgers and pizza are the best around. Cash only but who cares? Dont visit Sand Lake without at least grabbing a beer.
Well, if you have not, tried the Sandlake sports bar lately give it a try again. New owner foods amazing atmosphere is great but most of all the place is clean clean clean kudos to the new owner clean it up serving good food. It's a place that we all have frequent for years. I'm a Sand Lake local and I can't say enough about our little local bar. It's fantastic. If your looking for an ice cold beer and some great bar food, this is your place. They are known for their Sand Lake burger but their pizza is also amazing. Prices are great. They have weekday specials and buckets of beer specials. Sometimes you can find some liver entertainment on the weekends or some fun event the bar is putting on. If your in the area you have to stop. If your looking for ole great bar food in a friendly atmosphere where a game is on every TV, it's a must stop!
Love there pizza ! And also we had prime rib and it was cooked perfect!! Yummy and the service was great ! They were short handed but the waitress was very nice and our food came out hot and very tasty! We will be back
